In an age where everything is about Wireless Internet you want an e-reader that can not only give you the books you need but help you find the ones you want online. Within the last year, three devices were released on the market and fans of e-reading rejoiced – they were the iPad 2, the Kindle Fire and the Nook Tablet. With three to choose from, you might be wondering which one is right for you.
iPad 2
Let’s get one thing out of the way – the iPad 2 is not designed especially for e-reading purposes. While it can certainly handle the task, e-reading is not its fundamental or even primary application. That’s why you could spend upwards of about 900 for one. If all you want is an e-reader then save your money.
Kindle Fire
Going for as low as 200, this incredible improvement over the old Kindle design features a color touch screen, internet firmware allowing you to download movies and music as well as books and enough apps to keep you busy. It’s battery life and data storage capabilities aren’t as great as the Nook, unfortunately.
Nook Tablet
There isn’t much of a difference between the Nook Tablet and the Kindle Fire except that the Nook has more battery life and data storage. There are not as many apps being developed for the Nook as of right now and the Nook costs 50 more than the Fire.
